Refrigerated Dryers
Refrigerated air dryers remove moisture and contaminants from compressed air. They chill the air to a temperature that causes the moisture in the air to condense and form droplets. These can be separated from the air stream and discharged from the dryer. This type of dryer uses a refrigeration system, heat exchanger, separator and drain to perform the drying operation and provide compressed air that can be useful for a broad range of applications.
Desiccant Dryers
Regenerative desiccant dryers use desiccant media to dry compressed air through the process of absorption. Dry air with dew points of either -40°F, -80°F or -100°F can be achieved. These extremely low dew points are necessary for critical compressed air applications, or for those in cold environments, where any moisture remaining in the air would freeze inside compressed air system piping, resulting in a blocked flow.
During dryer operation, the desiccant media is used to dry the air followed by a period of regeneration when the media is purged of the moisture it collects, so it can be used again for drying. Twin-tower design of our dryers allows simultaneous air drying and desiccant regeneration without any interruption of compressed air flow.
Membrane Dryers
These dryers are for low dew points and offer minimal maintenance. They deliver contaminant-free, dry compressed air through a state-of-the-art membrane system.
It is particularly cost-effective to dry precisely the quantity of compressed air that the customer actually needs. However, the full savings potential can only be used when this amount of compressed air is dried exactly to the respectively required degree. With this, drying is directly geared to the application itself. What is generally required is highest reliability and immediate availability of the compressed air. This applies in equal measure to laboratory purposes, to applications in workshops or outdoors, whether mobile or stationary.
Filters
We provide several compressed air filtration options that protect air system components and process machinery, as well as help reduce production waste. Filters protect your dryers and downstream equipment from contaminates that can be in the piping system. Different ISO standards can be met with different filter options. Let us help you chose the correct filter package for your needs. From standard manufacturing to sterile filters for food and beverage industries, Metro Air Compressor can supply you with what you need.
